Chemical Manufacturing

Chemical Manufacturing

Review process emissions, treatment chemistry and material compatibility before selecting integrated air and water equipment.
Chemical Manufacturing

Industry requirements

Chemical manufacturing requires a clear understanding of the substances entering an environmental treatment system. Composition, temperature and operating variations influence both process selection and the materials that may be suitable for contact with the stream.

Our solution approach

The Verdora concept starts with a process and emissions inventory. Compatible gas streams can then be assessed for scrubbing, adsorption or thermal treatment, while wastewater streams are considered for segregation, equalisation and appropriate pretreatment. A combined system is only considered after the relevant interactions have been reviewed.

Operation and maintenance

The interface schedule records reagent handling, utilities, drainage and monitoring needs. Process hazards, flammable mixtures and incompatible chemicals require project-specific assessment. Equipment illustrations and generic operating descriptions should never be treated as a substitute for that assessment.

Planning your project

Gather representative composition data, expected flow ranges and descriptions of start-up, shutdown and cleaning activities. Include known reactive materials and site restrictions so that qualified engineers can define the next investigations and review the treatment options.

Solution scope

  • Process stream and compatibility review
  • Air treatment and wastewater pretreatment concepts
  • Reagent, utility and monitoring interface planning
