Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer

Overview
A regenerative thermal oxidizer treats suitable organic process emissions using controlled high temperature oxidation. Ceramic media store heat from the outgoing stream and transfer it to incoming air, helping reduce the heating demand during steady operation.
System arrangement
The Verdora concept combines an inlet manifold, switching valves, heat storage chambers and a combustion section. A control panel coordinates operating temperatures, valve sequencing and start-up checks. The arrangement must be reviewed against the actual solvent mixture, flow variation and available utilities.
Typical applications
Typical applications include coating lines, printing processes and selected chemical production exhausts. Upstream particulate removal or additional pretreatment may be required to protect the ceramic media and downstream equipment.
Planning and service
Before selection, prepare a representative emissions profile, expected operating schedule and maintenance access plan. Temperature supervision, combustion safeguards and safe handling of flammable streams require project-specific engineering.
